The Chillipeeps Journey Continues – from Yorkshire to Disaster Relief Zones Across the World

Three years ago I embarked on an incredible journey.
I was travelling in the car with my new baby, Mimi, who was screaming for a feed but I’d forgotten to pack a spare sterilised bottle. I had a carton of formula milk but no way of feeding it to my hungry baby with it.
Why hadn’t someone invented a teat that fitted directly onto the baby milk carton I wondered? So I invented one.
The rest, as they say, is history and the Chillipeeps teat was officially born at the Nursery Fair in Harrogate earlier this year.
However, this baby has some more growing to do.
The teat is also designed to fit onto bottled water containers and when the tsunami hit Japan I was distraught that a disposable version wasn’t ready – it would have been perfect for feeding babies and children in areas where the drinking water was contaminated.
Getting that new disposable version through global safety standards and in front of the organisations that coordinate major relief efforts is the next leg of my journey and one way I can do that really quickly is by winning the Barclays One Small Step Competition.
I’ve already been shortlisted. I’m one of three businesses in the North East competing for £50,000 and all I need now is to get the most votes.
Can you help me realise my dream? I need hundreds and hundreds of public votes to beat the competition so please, please vote for me and help me win!
