The Cartier Women's Initiative Awards

The Cartier Women’s Initiative Award is an international business plan competition created in 2006 by Cartier, the Women’s Forum, McKinsey & Company and INSEAD business school to identify, support and encourage projects by women entrepreneurs. Five Laureates, one for each of the five regions, are selected annually. They receive a unique and comprehensive support package: US $ 20 000 of funding, one year of coaching, networking opportunities and media exposure. The Award categories are: Africa, Asia (incl. The First Women Awards, held in association with Lloyds Banking Group, were created by the CBI and Real Business magazine in 2004 to recognise female pioneers across British business. professional and public life.

Organisations that implement the best family-friendly policies are to be recognised in the ‘Top Employers for working families’ awards organised by leading work-life balance charity, Working Families. The winners will be recognised at a gala lunch and awards ceremony in London in October, with shortlists announced in September. Uniquely, the Top Employers for working families list will be validated by independent human resource centre the Institute for Employment Studies.
There are 15 awards categories to address different types of policy (such as paternity, flexible working, carers, emergency childcare) and to recognise the leaders within specific industries (such as retail, finance, professional services, public sector) and business sizes.
