Hi,

First of all, congratulations to Alli for the new website, it looks fantastic and is very easy to use and navigate. I will no doubt be a frequent visitor.

I first came to one of Alli's events a year ago, when my daughter was just 6 months old and thankfully asleep throughout the networking lunch where Sarah Tremellen gave a talk about how she first started out setting up Bravissimo. There were at least 40 women there, all in early or late stages of setting up businesses, and the buzz I felt during and afterwards was exhilarating.

I had at least five different ideas for businesses that I wanted to pursue but couldn't get my head around, and that event kick-started my belief in the fact that I could actually do this. I could set up my own business. Now, one year later, after brainstorm meetings and help from contacts I've met through Motivating Mum, I am about to make my first order with a manufacturer who will produce a pram cover I designed, and I will start trading early spring next year. Who would have thought? Not me.

Had it not been for Alli and her brilliant events, where I've met so many inspiring women, I doubt I would have found the courage and inspiration to start my own business, and I can't wait to read more about how you're all getting on.

Baby Beamers as a company will be focusing on delivering products to help make life easier for new parents (I myself found the first 6 months of motherhood quite a struggle and even though initiatives have been made to highlight the issue of post natal depression I would like to shed more light on the fact that too many new mothers suffer in silence) and my first product to help make life easier for new mothers is a pram sun cover designed to replace the infamous pegged muslin and impossible to position umbrellas...

Baby Beamers is very much still work-in-progress (I am currently spending every night and every spare minute I have on getting the business up and running) but please do take a look at the site www.babybeamers.com and let me know what you think ofthe product. Any honest feedback is very much appreciated.

Furthermore, if you know any new mothers, or if you are one yourself, I have set up a 5 minute market research questionnaire that I would extremely grateful if you would pass on/fill in: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GT7Y85N

My original profession is graphic designer and I still work as a part time multimedia designer for Turner Broadcasting (CNN, Cartoon Network, Turner Classic Movies) to help finance my business startup, so feel free to ask me any design related questions, I'll be happy to help.

Best regards and a happy Christmas and New Year to all.
