Hello all like minded souls - I'm introducing a product I've created with the busy parent in mind.  Its a low cost durable and reusable planner where you can record details of today's important events but wipe it clean and start again tomorrow.  I've created a simple website (haven't got money to get it done professionally yet) at www.tododid.co.uk and am hoping to spread the word through friends, family and any networking opportunity (mostly online as am working full time too!).  The ToDoDid is a 12 page laminated notebook which allows a parent or carer to record the important events of the day (feeds, sleeps, nappies, medicines etc) - sample pages can be seen in detail on my site.  I want to sell this product to new parents (I could have done with one!) and to carers (including relatives, babysitters etc).  Most mums know that it can be hard to remember all this info - the piece of paper I get from my son's nursery ends up in my pocket and then the recycling bin so I think my product gives everyone a chance to reduce their carbon footprint and help save the planet.

I won't ramble any more as am very tired - need to go upstairs and prepare the bags/reusable nappies for tomorrow.

I'd welcome any feedback anyone has!

Thanks

En-j

Welcome to the forum and great idea! I've just started back at work part time and I can't believe the amount of organisation involved in sorting Little one for the times I won't be there, making sure she has enough nappies formula, making sure there's meals in the freezer. The list is endless. Not to mention getting myself organised fo work. I'm sure many Mums would be grateful for your product. Best of luck! Kim

Hi Kim Thanks for the support! Love your hats - they are sooooooo cute so will have to tell my friends about the site (a few are expecting again so will no doubt need to buy something they haven't bought before!). Am hoping to get some word of mouth recommendations via my local nct branch (got flyers going out in goody bags at next nearly new sale) and hope to get some local interest. Tricky being in full time work but will give it all the energy I have left after I've put my toddler to bed and eaten something! The organising does get easier as you get into your routine (I've been back at work 10 months - started at 3 days, then 4 and only recently back to 5 days). All the best! Natasha

Hi Natasha

Great product and reasonably priced. I am going to place my order now... And seeing as the website is not professionally designed, it looks fantastic.

All the best with your business.

Suzanne

Hi Natasha, I love your product. I think it will work really well as a present for new mothers. I have several friends giving birth this spring and summer, and because your price is so good I will definitely make it part of my present to them. You could get away with a higher price I think... £9.99 would still be very fair. I remember using a boring old notebook for trying to remember feeding times etc when my daughter was new - I would have loved to have something like this to brighten up the monotonous routines of the first 3-6 months... Best regards, Birgitte Lydum www.babybeamers.com PS: As a graphic/web designer I must say that I agree your web site is looking good for a homemade job - well done!

Hi Natasha

I have just been to your site and placed my order. I noticed that you don't have e-commerce terms and conditions, which you should have as there are quite a lot of things that you are required by law to display on your website, such as notification of the 7 day cancellation period. I have written an article on the information required by law to be on your website. You can read this at http://www.lawyers4mumpreneurs.com/articles. If you would like me to draft you e-commerce terms and conditions, this is something I can help you with - email me for more details if you would like some help.

Kind regards

Suzanne

Hi Birgitte - thanks for the feedback about pricing. Wanted to test the water and spread the word with a reasonable price (but will think about increasing it later!). Also delighted to get such great comments about the homemade site. Thanks for the boost!! Regards Natasha
