My 2 friends and I are setting up a business that runs local baby fairs - with nearly new sales, family focussed businesses, free talks from midwives, doulas etc and are very confused about oublic liability insurance. We have been advised that every person who has a stall at our event must have their own public liability insurance and this includes members of the public not just businesses - we cannot see how that can be right and dont think that other set ups enforce that - please please please can someone help? We thought that our public liability and that of the venue would cover everything - but we were even told that when a hall gets hired for a birthday party you have to get public liability insurance - and I definitely have never done that for my daughters parties or have I been told to - HELP HELP HELP - thanks a million.
