I am a Chartered Accountant who qualified with KPMG in 2001. After ten years working in a variety of finance roles in blue chip clients such as ITV and Boots, I took time out to have baby Sophie.  During this time I met many mums who wanted to set up their own small business but just couldn’t access quality affordable advice from professionals.  Either the advice was just too expensive or the service was too inflexible or it was just not geared towards start ups and sole traders. The idea for The Hub was born, to allow mumprepreneurs to deal with all their company set up, accountancy, tax and payroll needs in one easy purchase. I am a qualified corporate/commercial lawyer with over 12 years experience gained in a large City law firm, ITV Plc, Virgin and latterly being a director of a global property company. I set up lawyers4mumpreneurs in 2009 as a result of wanting to work flexibly whilst looking after a young family. My passion is in helping other women who have decided to do what I have – namely set up and grow their own business in order to spend more quality time with their families. I have found that lots of mumpreneurs either don’t know who to go to for legal advice, or if they do - they are faced with unaffordable fees. Hence lawyers4mumpreneurs is here to focus on mumpreneurs’ business needs and to become a household name in the mumpreneur community as the trusted first port of call for affordable legal advice. As a ‘virtual’ lawyer (ie, I work from home), I can provide services at half the price of your local high street firms due to low overheads. I am also happy to provide fixed fees, something that not many lawyers are prepared to do. PR, Marketing and Freelance Journo

I'm a mum (with a beautiful two year old daughter) with over ten years marketing and PR experience, gained within high-profile publishing, retail and travel environments, including the BBC, The Independent and most recently at Sandals Resorts.

I have also worked for numerous start-ups, as well as in event management. My experience ranges from creating and implementing marketing and PR plans, managing advertising campaigns and working with creative agencies, to developing online marketing activity (with things such as Google Adwords) and establishing partnerships - all with the aim of maximising brand visibility and getting new customers, for the minimum cost possible.

After working in companies of all sizes for all these years, I have finally realised there is much more to life than progressing up the corporate ladder. Currently a Freelance Marketing and PR consultant, and journalist (specialising in travel and parenting), I really want to help mums setting out in business achieve their dreams.
