Career bio

Baby Beamers was based on Birgitte's invention, the SunSnoozer, an innovative pram sun cover protecting babies against the sun. Birgitte aims to bring several other practical baby products to the market once Baby Beamers and the SunSnoozer has carved a space in the very competitive nursery industry.
To fund the start-up of her business Birgitte still works part time as a graphic/multimedia designer for Turner Broadcasting in Central London where she has been creatively responsible for websites such as Cartoon Network and Turner Classic Movies, as well as for online advertising campaigns, print marketing etc.

About Me

Birgitte is originally from Denmark where she studied graphic design and visual communication at university. She has been living and working in London since summer 2000 and has a daughter born in 2008. She started her own business when unable to find exactly what she was looking for in the baby products market. When not working as a designer Birgitte spends quality time one day a week with her daughter, and one day a week working on Baby Beamers (besided evenings, nights, mornings and weekends!). Birgitte is very much still at the beginning of her journey as a business mum, but has plenty of help and advice to give others wanting to take the same route. Her design expertise has helped her greatly in developing the Baby Beamers brand, and will be able to advise you on any design matters.
