Regardless I love this infographic, and the fact that some parent somewhere pays 55k a year so their 15 year old can play golf is priceless!

I agree with you about the golf – seems a bit amazing to me. But £9.60 for five lunches sounds about right – ours are £2.00 each. As for the phones and books thing, I can believe it, though I think it is very sad. All my sons friends ever talk about is video games – the only book any of them have read is Harry Potter

I agree with you here, The amount that everything comes to is very expensive, however just think that hopefully all this cost will one day be returned to you when your children have become extremely successful!

I believe the financial figures per sport of for between the ages of 11-18, not per year. Still, £8K a year on a spot of golf…!

I love these sort of infographics but I would love to know how savoo define an “Average parent” … the cost of the sporting child don’t seem to stack up with tales of childhood obesity and kids spending all their time in front of video games … PS not expecting you to know how they have reached their conclusions btw

Nothing is ever cheap these days! But remember, it’s the price you pay for sending your kid to school. The reward eventually is something that’s too priceless that no amount of money can ever equate. Anyway, it’s the only and greatest gift you can give any child that will never be robbed from him/her.

I am also a mother of two kids – one is in the 4th grade and the other one is in the 3rd grade. Whenever I buy school supplies and school uniform, I make sure I have extra money for other miscellaneous stuff. It always happen to me every year that my budget for school expenses exceed from my expectation.

The price of school uniform is always a biggie. There is the question how much do I get how quick will they reduce the new looking school uniform into rags. Our local school has a non profit selling policy from the school itself which keeps the cost down. I think every school should have the same uniform so to make it easy and keep the competition high.
