Based on the phenomenally successful book series by Jeff Kinney, Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3: Dog Days is the latest hilarious film adventure featuring eponymous hero Greg Heffley, and it’s scampering onto Blu-ray Triple Play and DVD on 26 November 2012 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3: Dog Days follows the escapades of wise-cracking tween Greg Heffley at the start of the school summer holidays with his ‘un-cool’ best friend Rowley Jefferson. Unfortunately the break starts off badly when his dad bans him from playing video games in a misguided attempt to make him the ‘model’ child.
Following a trip to the local country club with Rowley and his parents, Greg’s summer takes an interesting turn when he discovers that his school crush, Holly Hills, is a member there too. With an internship at his dad’s work looming, Greg cooks up a plan pretending he has been given a part time job at the country club and starts sneaking into the resort to spend more time with Holly and Rowley.
In traditional Wimpy Kid style, his plan doesn’t exactly go smoothly when his older brother and chief tormentor, Rodrick, foils his scheme and Greg is forced to sneak him into the country club too in order to not be rumbled by his parents! Can the pair maintain their act through the summer?
Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3: Dog Days features rising stars Zachary Gordon (National Treasure: Book of Secrets) as Greg, Devon Bostock (Adoration) as Rodrick and Robert Capron (Bride Wars) as Rowley. Rachael Harris (The Hangover), and Steve Zahn (Stuart Little) also return as parents Susan and Frank Heffley.
